What is Natural Burial?
Natural Burial is a type of interment where formaldehyde, metal caskets, and concrete vaults are not used. The deceased's remains are placed in a biodegradable shroud or a casket made of natural materials such as fiberboard, wicker, bamboo, or cardboard and placed directly in the ground.
Can I have a visitation before Natural Burial?
You can have a traditional visitation and funeral service followed by cremation or burial at a Natural Burial Cemetery with the use of green embalming fluids. Green embalming fluids are non-toxic solutions of chemicals and plant-based essential oils to provide temporary preservation, making visitation before Natural Burial possible.
