Ronald Evans Obituary

Ronald Alvin Evans was born in Baltimore, Maryland on December 11, 1941 to Alvin and Martha Evans. He passed peacefully on June 11, 2022 at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Oliver Evans and Martha Idonia Evans (Nee Goette). Including his beloved first wife, Sharon Hamill Evans and dear sister, Pat Evans Dobrovolny (the late Joseph).

He is survived, and will be greatly missed, by his devoted wife, Carol Upton Evans. As well as his loving children, Eric Evans (Holly), Jill Evans Kane (Chris), Amy Evans Higham (Jay) and step-son, Michael Upton (Lisa). And cherished sisters, Joyce Evans Davis (the late Robert) and Donna Evans Deltuva (William). Ronald was also the adored grandfather of Lauren Kane, Logan Higham, Nathaniel Higham, Christopher Kane, Aiden Higham, Asher Higham, Wilson Evans, Breya Higham, Declan Evans, Eaghan Evans, Christopher Upton and Brandon Upton. Including many other special family and friends, Ronald will be greatly missed.

Family and friends may gather at the Candle Light Funeral Home, 1835 Frederick Road,  Catonsville, MD 21228 on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the Bishop Cummins Reformed Episcopal Church, 2001 Frederick Road, Catonsville, MD 21228, on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 10:30 am. Interment will follow the funeral service at Loudon Park Cemetery, 3620 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21229.

The family has requested that donations be made to the Bishop Cummins Reformed Episcopal Church, The Parkinson’s Foundation and the Ohio Valley Young Life Capernaum.
