Mary Sikora Obituary

Mary E. Sikora, 84, of Catonsville, passed away on May 5, 2020. Mary was born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 10, 1935. She lived in Ellicott City, MD for many years with her devoted husband of 59 years, Bernard D. Sikora (deceased). Mary is survived by her loving sons, Michael (Dawn), David (Christina), Kenneth, Dan (Gina), and Kevin (Sally), as well as her adoring grandchildren, Christopher, Caitlin, Kenneth, Michael, Kevin (Nicole), Matthew, Brent, Zachary (Hayley), Mary Alysia, and James Joseph Sikora, and Megan O'Shaughnessy (Michael), and her great-grandchildren, Hudson, Hadley, and Riley O’Shaughnessy. In addition to her husband, Mary was pre-deceased by her parents, James and Elizabeth McGuire, and her siblings, Dorothy, James, and Paul.

Mary was a resident of the Charlestown Community and a communicant of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Catonsville. She loved to travel and did so extensively with her husband before he passed. Mary was an active volunteer and donated her time and resources to many philanthropic causes. She was known for her generosity, kindness, and compassion and will be missed dearly by her family, to whom she was very dedicated, and by her many friends.

The family is planning a memorial service at a date to be determined and has requested that for those wishing, in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
