Born in Parkersburg, and raised in Weirton, West Virginia, Margaret was one of seven children. After finishing business school, she moved to Washington DC to try out city life. It was there she met Edwin John Graf Jr. They married in 1945. They lived in the Chicago area for several years before relocating to Cazenovia, NY. They later moved to New Canaan, Ct. In 1988, they relocated to Ellicott City.
Margaret’s life was an inspiration to all who knew her. A mother of six, Margaret dedicated herself to family, immediate and extended. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor and upbeat, positive outlook on life. In spite of how busy her family and caring for her home kept her, she made personal growth a priority. She loved to travel. She took tremendous pleasure and pride in her gardens. She truly enjoyed studying current events and was passionate about business and investing. Her life was not without its challenges and losses, to which she rose with tremendous grace.
Margaret will be sorely missed by her friends and family. Memories of her and the way she loved us are bittersweet ~ It was truly an honor to be a part of her life.
