John Raymond Clegg, 88, of Catonsville, Maryland passed away peacefully on September 7, 2020. Born to Raymond and Myrtle (Weeks) Clegg on June 21, 1932 in Antigo, Wisconsin, John moved to Baltimore in 1960 to begin work at the new Social Security Administration headquarters, from which he retired as a Policy Analyst in 1987. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years, Ellen D. Clegg, and his loving sister, Jane Brejcha. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Rae Ellen Clegg, granddaughter, Molly Kearns and her fiancé, Ryan Davis, and many nieces and nephews.
Proud to be a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and a Korean War Army Veteran, John was a clever man with many interests. He was known to complete the Sunday New York Times Crossword Puzzle in pen and was an avid gardener, photographer, DIYer and traveler. He and his wife visited all 50 states and most National Parks. He will be sorely missed.
