James Perez Grimm Obituary

James Perez Grimm, 19, passed away on October 26, 2021 in Fort Drum, NY after a battle with depression, a heartbreakingly debilitating and fatal illness.

James is survived by his adoring mothers Rosa Perez and Mimi L. Perez, as well as his older brother Alexander Robinson and his younger sister Melissa Perez. James was a lifelong Marylander, born December 2001 in Baltimore, MD, and raised in Anne Arundel County, MD. James was an avid fisherman spending countless hours along Maryland’s waterways in search of elusive trout, wily largemouth bass, and fat catfish. He loved animals, particularly the family menagerie of cats and dogs, and could often be found interacting with animals he found on his outdoor adventures. James was a kind, generous, and adventurous young man.

Since receiving his high school diploma in May 2020 from North County High School in Glen Burnie, MD, James has been on active duty service in the U.S. Army. He was serving as an Infantryman with the 87th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, at the time of his passing.

All family and friends are welcome to come to Candle Light Funeral Home for visitation on Friday, November 5th, 2021 from 4:30pm to 6:00pm, which is immediately following the private family viewing.

James will have a committal service at the Baltimore National Cemetery, 5501 Frederick Avenue, Catonsville, MD on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 10:00am.
