Daniel Gibson, Sr. Obituary

After several years at Brightview Catonsville, God saw the need for another engineer.  On October 27, 2019, God quietly lifted Danny from his hospice bed and reunited him in Heaven with his family.

Daniel Everett Gibson was born on May 12, 1964 to Ernest Gibson (who preceded him in death) and Alice Gibson.  He attended and was baptized at the Morning Star Baptist Church of Christ, by the late Reverend Samuel Ray.

Danny was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system, as a very gifted student, graduating from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 1982.  After high school, Danny briefly worked for Verizon Telephone Company before beginning his career at the National Security Agency (NSA) where he retired after 34 years of service.

Being family oriented, you could count on his presence at all the gatherings.  Jam sessions with his cousins & uncle (Danny could play many instruments), game nights, crab feasts, and roller skating.

Danny was an avid Ravens fan and loved puppies. He enjoyed food, beating his friends at video games (especially Madden), movies, luxury cars, and having the newest electronics. Those who knew Danny enjoyed his “special” sense of humor and he could always make you laugh.  He will be missed by many.

Danny will live on in the hearts of:

His son, Danny Gibson Jr.; his daughter, Brianna Gibson; his mother Alice Gibson; his sister, Lynette (Lynn) Gibson; his aunt Anna Craig; his nephew Bryan Gibson and his cousins Preston Davis, Daria Brown, Carol Moore, Christian Moore and Jayden Moore.
