LeeAndrew Djan Ramsey, also known as Chris, passed away on May 11, 2023. Chris was born on December 25, 1985, in Trinidad & Tobago to Tara Shelton and Clyde Ramsey.
Chris was a lifelong resident of Gwynn Oak, Maryland; a dear father to Christopher Ramsey, K'liyah Ramsey, and Cian Ramsey; a beloved son of Tara Shelton; beloved brother of Cindy Ramsey-Gomes; a beloved uncle of Ciana Gomes and Shane Gomes; and loved by uncles, aunts, cousins back home in Trinidad, in addition to a host of friends who will truly miss him.
Chris was a kind soul who loved animals, especially cats, and he enjoyed feeding the homeless. He was the happiest when he was giving back to others and took pride in spoiling his family especially on his birthday, Christmas Day. Chris enjoyed cooking, hanging out with his "people" as he would say, and watching sports. He was a huge New England Patriots fan and looked forward to heckling all the Ravens and Washington fans.
Chris could be spotted a mile away with his beautiful long braids and sentimental tattoos. For those who knew him, he was always willing to debate about anything with everyone. He was a passionate human being with a heart of gold, and he will be missed dearly by all those that loved him. Chris was loved by all whose lives he touched.
A Time for Everything (Ecclesiastes 3 NIV)
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to
plant and a time to uproot, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.
