Ruth Ella Hauf

Ruth Ella Hauf, 78, of Selbyville, Delaware, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026. She was born in Maryland on May 27, 1948 to Thomas and Elizabeth (nee Davis) Waddell.

Ruth was a kind and generous woman loved by many. She also lived in Baltimore and worked as a cashier at Antwerpen Hyundai and then at Bob Bell. She retired to Selbyville, DE.

Ruth is preceded in death by her first spouse, Jack Maaskant, and her second spouse, Joseph A. Hauf. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Elizabeth Anna Smith (spouse Corey); her cherished grandchildren, Corey, Christopher, and Chase Smith; and 3 cherished great-grandchildren.

An Interment Service will take place at a later date.
