Ronald Thomas Gaither

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Thomas Gaither, a beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather, veteran, and friend. Born in Maryland on April 4, 1943, Ron lived a life dedicated to his family, his work, and his passions. He peacefully departed this world on August 18, 2026. He preceded in death by his late wife Debra Ann Gaither (Nee: Hoerl) and parents, Herbert Gaither and Margaret Firor.

Ronald is survived by his loving children, Gregory Francis Gaither, Ronald Wayne Gaither, Fred Roussey and Angel Marie Roussey. As well as his sister, Saundra Klinedinst, 3 cherished grandchildren and his adored (often misgendered) cat, Bitzy. Including numerous nieces, nephews and friends. 

An avid lover of nature, Ron found joy in the tranquil beauty of fish tanks and took immense pride in nurturing his exquisite rose garden. These interests reflected not only his love for life but also his ability to care for and cultivate beauty in all things. 

A graveside service will be held in Ron’s honor on August 24, 2026, at 11:30 AM at St. John's Cemetery, located at 3480 St. Johns Lane, Ellicott City, MD 21042.
