On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, Renate Edith Warminski passed away in Maryland. Born in Stuttgart, Germany to Theodore and Elizabeth Weber (nee: Westphal) on June 16, 1936. At 18 she left Germany and moved to the United States. Shortly after arriving she met her husband and welcomed two daughters.
Renate was a devoted and energetic grandmother to her three grandchildren. She maintained a large circle of friends, each of which she truly valued.
Renate was deeply passionate about her crafts. And ran a small business for 37 years. Over time she devoted her interest to Christmas themed creations. Her Santa’s and elves became cherished by many friends and family members, bringing joy to homes year after year.
Renate is survived by her daughters, Susan Karabelas and Linda Walls (Stephen); her brother, Wolfgang Weber (Brigette); her grandchildren, Georgia, Matthew, and Jacob; and her great grandchildren, Julian and Dean.
A celebration of life will be held for Renate in June, please check back for exact details.
