Ralph Andrew Mowinckel of Bel Air Maryland passed away on March7th after a heroic fight with Cancer. Ralph was born on May 30, 1939 in Baltimore City and was the eldest son of Anna and Andrew Mowinckel. Ralph lived a very full and exciting life. In 1959 joined the US Navy and served his country proudly as an E3 Fireman. He was stationed on the USS Providence out San Francisco California. In 1963 he was honorably discharged and returned to his home in Maryland. After leaving the US Navy Ralph enjoyed a successful career at Black and Decker and then continued success at Grumman Aircraft where he retired after more than 20 year career.
Ralph had many interests he loved fast cars even owned several corvettes over the years; enjoy professional football huge Ravens fan and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting of any kind and had great success hunting Cariboo in Canada and many types of wild game right here in Maryland.
Anyone who knew Ralph would tell you he was a quiet and sincere man with a love and respect for his country and his family. Ralph is survived by his two sisters Jean Woodworth of Hampstead Maryland, Julie Geng of Woodstock Maryland and his younger brother Larry Mowinckel.
Ralph was loved dearly by his friend’s and extended family and will be missed dearly.
