Paumfelia "Pom" O'Neill

Paumfelia “Pom” O’Neill was born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 8, 1938. She passed away on February 13, 2026, at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas E. O’Neill, Sr.; her daughter, Laureen Robbins (David); her parents, Nicodemus and Paumfelia Chesno; and her brother, Nick Chesno.

Pom is survived by her loving children, Kathleen Orrson, Thomas E. O’Neill (Christia), Jr., Brian O’Neill and Celeste Hauf (Richard). As well as her dear brother, Greg Chesno. Pom was also the cherished grandmother to 14 adored grandchildren.

Pom raised her family in Bethesda, Maryland before moving to Baltimore to be closer to all of her grandchildren. A dedicated and loving mother who spend the majority of her time with her children, she also volunteered at St. Bartholomew Catholic church, worked as an administrative assistant, and enjoyed tennis and gardening.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to St. Mark Catholic Church.

Pom’s Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11:00am at the Saint Andrews Apostle Catholic Church, 11600 Kemp Mill Rd., Silver Spring, MD 20902 with a burial to follow at 1pm in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20906
