In Loving Memory of Patricia “Trish” Kemp
Patricia Ann Kemp, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at the age of 84. Born on June 7, 1941, to Leo James Clark, Sr. and Catherine Mildner Clark (nee Bader), Patricia was the sister of Dennis Bader Clark, Leo James Clark, Jr., and Caroline Elizabeth Alder. She was a woman of quiet strength and unwavering love, whose life centered around her family. No matter the circumstance, she faced every challenge with resilience. Her determination in the face of hardship was an inspiration to those who knew her, and her ability to lead with love and compassion left a lasting mark on everyone she touched.
Family was always her top priority. Whether it was offering words of wisdom, a listening ear, or simply her presence, she showed up for the people she loved without hesitation. She made everyone feel safe, supported, and deeply cared for. Patricia leaves behind a legacy of strength, selflessness, and unconditional love. She will be remembered for the many lives she touched with her kindness and devotion.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of nearly 57 years, Donald E. Kemp, Sr.; parents, Leo and Catherine Clark; brother, Leo Clark, Jr.; sister, Caroline Alder; and beloved pets, Pepper, Murphy, and Linus. She is survived by her loving sons and daughters, Donald E. Kemp, Jr. (Cheryl), David W. Kemp, Laura A. Mastella (Stephen), Linda L. Kauffman (Gary), and Catherine M. Kemp. She will be missed by her cherished grandchildren, Lauren Delfico (Giuseppe), Megan Kemp, Sarah Francis (Ian), Chase Kemp, Emily Monroe (Joshua), Ryan Kemp (Madeleine), Kathryn Kauffman, Emma Faraone, and Caroline Faraone. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Lucas, Zoey, Lucia, Ellianna, Isabella, Dylan, Maeve, Leo, Francesca, Iris, Micah, and Jackson. She is also survived by her brother, Dennis Bader Clark. She will be missed by the Ruzzi’s and Avara’s who have known her and been part of the family for many years, especially Cathie Ruzzi, who has been a continuing source of support for Patricia.
Friends and family may gather at Candle Light Funeral Home, 1835 Frederick Road, Catonsville, MD 21228, for a Visitation on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at St. Mark Chapel, 30 Melvin Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, 3480 Saint Johns Lane, Ellicott City, MD 21042.
