Patricia Bucci

Patricia Irene McLaughlin, 93, of Catonsville, MD and formerly of Fallston, MD passed away peacefully at home with family at her side. She was born on February 15, 1933 in Baltimore, MD to the late William F. and Margaret L. Beyer McLaughlin. In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Rinaldo J. Bucci, two of their sons Stephen J. and Lucian V. as well as her sister Margaret M. Incaprera and brothers James H. and Thomas I. McLaughlin.

Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and volunteer. She grew up in the Pimlico area of Baltimore where she first met her husband in grade school at St. Ambrose Catholic School. After marriage and military moves with her husband, they settled in Pikesville and she became secretary at St. Charles Borromeo Parish School as well serving as an officer at the Catholic Daughters of America. She was active in the Women’s Auxiliary of the Pikesville Little League as well as the Democratic Club there. She did book keeping on the side for the two family restaurants. After moving to Harford County, Patricia served as vice president and trustee of the Harford County Sons of Italy. She is also past President of the Knights Ladies Auxiliary of Bel Air Lodge Knights of Columbus. She also was an election judge and supervisor with the Hartford county election board. In her later years she moved to the Catonsville MD area.

Pat loved spending time with friends and family. She is known for hosting parties at her home where everyone was welcome. As much as she loved to cook and feed others, she also enjoyed going out to restaurants. Whether organizing a luncheon outing or planning a cookout for a houseful, Pat enjoyed being around others. She not only adored her children but she cherished all of her grandchildren as well. She was devoted to her family and had many friends.

Patricia is survived by three children: Michael R. Bucci (Rody) of Glen Arm, MD; Patricia B. Jones (Jeffrey) of Bel Air, MD; and Cynthia J. Bucci (Bill van Zelm) of Baltimore, MD. Also surviving is her sister Catherine C. Hanneman of Sun City, AZ. In addition, Patricia is survived by her six grandchildren: Patrick T. Jones (Wendy), M. Randolph Jones (Tina), Parker G. Jones (Katie), Cassidy B. Kanaras (Nico), Justin S. Bucci, and Katrina P. Bucci. Patricia also has eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may gather at the Candle Light Funeral Home, Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mark Church, Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 11:00am, followed by a graveside service at New Cathedral Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org) where Patricia and her husband once visited and spent time with the children there.
