Norman Weisfeld

November 28, 1961 — August 18, 2025

With heavy hearts, we share that Norman Weisfeld passed away on August 18, 2025. His loss leaves a huge emptiness in the lives of family, friends and anyone who had the gift of knowing him. Norm is predeceased in death by his parents, Arthur and Gail Weisfeld, as well as his Mother-in-law, Sandra Kraft. He is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years Colleen Weisfeld, and loving children, Bradley and Sydney Weisfeld, Father-in-law Tim Kraft, Brother-in-law Michael Kraft (sister-in-law, Cristhine Kraft), his Aunt, Kerry Freund (Uncle, Randy Freund), his cousins Celia Tepper and Nancy Kranes, and his nephews, niece and cousins.

He was most proud of his kids, Brad and Syd. The countless hours spent on the soccer field, going to school events, and his mentoring them into university filled him with joy and filled him with pride. Norm never missed an opportunity to tell stories relating his love of his family.

Norm grew up in New York and was a proud graduate of RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) and University of Maryland where he earned his Masters degree in Computer Systems Management. He was happily retired after starting his career as a bell hop at the Concord hotel and EMT in Monticello, NY. He moved to Maryland after college and retired in Ellicotty City after his over 40 year career as an IT manager. In his younger years he spent his time skiing and scuba diving. He loved the Ravens, traveling with his family, spending time with his besties in his favorite place Destin, FL and feeding his dog Summer countless snacks.

He was born an only child but his family grew by marriage and best friends that were so close that they became his brothers and sisters. Stormin Norman will always be remembered for his generosity and “one liners”.

Norm loved his family and friends with his whole heart and gave cancer a fight like it has never seen. Services to honor Norm’s life will be held on Saturday, September 27 from 12pm - 4pm at the Candle Light Funeral Home, 1835 Frederick Rd., Catonsville, MD 21228. A gathering will be held on Sunday, September 28 from 11am - 4pm at Kelsey’s Restaurant 8480 Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21043
