Michael S. O’Brien, a trucker and proud member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, died Jan. 30 at his home in Catonsville. He was 68. He worked for more than 20 years for Yellow Freight (now YRC Corp.) before retiring in 2007. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969 and attended the University of Maryland at College Park. His interests included hunting, boating, riding his motorcycle and hanging out with his dog, Buddy.

Mike is survived by his wife, Nancy, and son Casey and his wife, Rebecca; sister Kathy Tomlinson and her husband, Richard, of Cornwall, England; brother Bob and his wife, Jan, of Anneslie; brother Sean and his wife, Susan, of New Mexico; brother Tim and his wife, Rebecca, of San Antonio; and many nieces and nephews. His parents, Robert G. O’Brien and Virginia Impink O’Brien, and brother Terry predeceased him.
