Michael Anthony DeMichele, 63, beloved husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and devoted son, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2025 surrounded by his wife and children in Catonsville, Maryland where he made his home for 22 years. He had bravely confronted and valiantly fought a trio of unrelated cancers for 10 years, the last of which for only 2 months.
Michael was born on November 30, 1961, the son of Norman and Angeline Speciale DeMichele. He grew up in North Utica, graduated from local schools, and worked in the automotive business for many years. In 1995, he met his soulmate and the love of his life, the former Kimberly Finster Alberico, while both worked at Don’s Ford. They were married in New Orleans, LA and soon relocated to Maryland where he continued his love of cars and worked as a fabricator and machinist at E&G Classics, a leading manufacturer of aftermarket auto accessories, until his retirement in 2020. He was also the founding member of Catonsville Cars & Coffee and he was actively involved in the Artful Flea Catonsville artists’ community since its inception.
Michael was a faithful servant of the Lord, a member of the Catholic Community of Ascension and St. Agustine (CCASTA), Ascension Men’s Club, and St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly; sons Alexander Michael DeMichele (Alexandra DeGraw), Ellicott City, MD and Dominick Paul Alberico, Baltimore, MD; daughters Laurena Michelle Alberico (Bobby Johnson), Las Vegas, NV and Jillian Nicole Alberico (Jason Alexander), Herkimer, NY; two beloved grandsons Nixon Giovanni Johnson and Braden Glenn Alexander; his mother, Angeline; three brothers, Norman (Lori), Louis (Julie), Dominick (Jamie); several nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends. He was predeceased by his father, Norman; his sister, Helene; and his in-laws, Paul and Laura Finster.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held St. Augustine’s Church, 5976 Old Washington Rd., Elkridge, MD on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will follow at the Columbarium at St. Augustine’s.
Michael’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and quiet strength. He will be remembered as a kind and thoughtful man who worked hard to take care of his family, even in his final days, and loved them deeply. His spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him and live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
