On Thursday, May 21, 2026, Maureen Madeline Evans passed away in Sandy Spring, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland to Vincent Joseph Giardina and Elizabeth Giardina (nee: Biggs) on Thursday, February 27, 1936; she was 90.
Maureen is survived by her sons, Michael Evans and Thomas Evans, Jr. (Ivonne); sister, Beverly Evans; grandchildren, Matthew Evans, Michael Evans, Ryan Evans, and Cole Evans; and her great-grandchildren, Cameron, Jack, and Conrad.
In addition to her parents, Maureen is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Evans, Sr., and daughter, Yvonne Evans.
She loved gardening, the little drummer boy, and collecting Christmas Snow Babies. She never missed a loved one’s birthday! In younger days, she taught special education at a Maryland elementary school.
Friends and family may gather at the Candle Light Funeral Home, Saturday, May 30, 20226 from 2:00pm-3:00pm. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm.
