Mary Janine Avara

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Mary Janine Avara on September 28, 2026, at the age of 66. She was preceded in death by her parents, Salvatore and Lucia Avara. As well as her brother, Carl Avara and sister in law, Denise Schoenberg Avara.
Mary is survived by her loving siblings, Mark Avara (Denise), Michael Avara (Mary), Joe Avara (Patti), John Avara and Cathy Ruzzi (Lou). She will be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends, who will remember her warmth, kindness, and unwavering strength. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Maryland SPCA in memory of Mary J. Avara.
