Margit Maria Earles

Margit grew up in a small, idyllic village in Bavaria, Germany. It was there, at an American officers' club, that she met a dashing young officer from Texas. They would marry, have a family, and create a life in the United States. She braved a new culture in a new place with three young children. She raised a family, imbuing them with the values she always held close: an unwavering faith in God; a devotion to kindness to everyone she met; a deep love and commitment to family; and profound friendships. She loved her friends deeply and cherished each one through her last day. She was always connected to nature—from the hills and forests where she grew up, through walks and hikes with her grandchildren.

During this past difficult year, she remained true to her values. She showed extraordinary strength, resilience, and courage. She leaned on her sustaining faith. She inspired her family and friends, persevering to see her ninth grandchild and to live surrounded by the family and friends she loved so dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents Emil Büchs and Marianne Ida Franz Büchs.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years Billy Ray Earles.

She is also survived by her sister Andrea Rita Büchs and brother Christoph Reinhold Büchs.

She had three children and 9 Grandkids:

Family and friends may gather at Candle Light Funeral Home, Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 11:00am – 1:00pm. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, followed by a graveside service at Serenity Ridge Natural Burial Cemetery.
