Lois Koenig Treuchel, 88, of Catonsville, MD, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Frederick William Koenig and Catherine Elizabeth Gilbert Cross. She was a proud graduate of Western High School in Baltimore then attended Goucher College for physiology, where she remained an active alumnus. She was a lover of opera music both in singing and patron. She worked in laboratory cytology before refocusing her life to raising her son. She was a world traveler and foodie. She is survived by her caring grandchildren; Thomas, Sarah, and Lisa; cherished great-grandchildren, Levi and Audrina; and sister, Robin Taylor. She is predeceased by her devoted husband of 57 years, Robert H. Treuchel, her loving son, Robert P. Treuchel and parents, Frederick and Catherine.
Family and friends may gather at Candle Light Funeral Home, 1835 Frederick Road, Catonsville, MD 21228, on 10/04/2025 for a Memorial Gathering from 09:00am to 10:00am. A Memorial Service will take place at 10:00am, with a Graveside Service to follow at 12:00pm at Loudon Park.
