Joan Carmen (Gary) Cashour of Catonsville, Maryland passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 84. Throughout life’s tribulations she maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, and love for family and friends.

Joan is survived by her three daughters and their husbands - Kathleen and Jay McNeave, Janet and David Sentz, and Lori and Joseph Deems; her grandchildren - Kaci McNeave and fiancé Noah Yeagley, Jimmy Sentz, and Danny Sentz; her brothers and sister-in-law - Roy and Joyce Gary and Kevin Gary. Joan was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband-Albert Cashour, her brother and sister-in-law - Jim and Tollie Gary, and her two sisters-Ida Mae Henn and Katie Gary.

Joan was born on May 30, 1941, in Baltimore, Maryland to Rosella (McDade) and James Gary. She attended St. Mark School in Catonsville and graduated from Mount de Sales Academy. She was a lifelong member of St. Mark parish in Catonsville and throughout her life was involved with the parish. She spent many years coaching girls’ basketball teams, volunteered at the parish school, and loved attending daily mass. Some of her favorite memories are from times spend at St. Mark. Joan also worked for 25 years as an office manager and bookkeeper for Melart Jewelers and Reed Jewelers.

Joan was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She always put her family first. She enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. She loved taking walks, listening to music, dancing, sharing family stories, and lunches with family and friends. She loved watching her grandchildren grow and was always there to support them in all their endeavors. Joan will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 10:00am at St. Mark Chapel, 30 Melvin Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, 2724 Sykesville, MD 21784 at 11:30am.
