Helen loved to travel with her husband and dear friends Charles and Louise. There wasn't a place that they would not go or stop. She was always in charge of the maps and navigated their trips like a pro. Helen loved to garden and would plant 100's of red geranium every year. Hosting the 4th of July BBQ was one of her favorite times of the year. She loved that everyone was gathered together laughing and telling stories. Helen was a avid reader and could often be found floating in the pool reading her favorite book. Helen would make her famous hot milk cake for ALL gatherings, it was one of the first things people would look for.
Helen loved her husband and cherished their many years together. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She never missed an opportunity to sit a listen to what was going on in their lives. She was a constant in their lives. She loved her children with all of her heart.
Helen most importantly was a follower of Christ and would be happy to talk to anyone about her faith. She would often tell us to turn our troubles over to the Lord and he would provide comfort and guidance.
May the Lord take her in his arms and welcome her home. Psalm 73:24 (NIV)
