Gwendolyn Lee Brokke

Gwendolyn Lee Brokke of Ellicott City, Maryland, passed away on May 19, 2026. Gwendolyn was born in Maryland on March 4, 1955 to Thomas William Nantz and Laura Nantz (nee Cash).

Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vernon Lloyd Michael Brokke Sr.; her sister, Peggy Strong; and her parents, Thomas William and Laura Nantz. She is survived by her devoted children, Emily Selenski (Jonathan), Alison Arconti (Peter), Vernon Brokke, Jr. (Kathryn), and Fr. David Brokke, SOLT; cherished grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Anne, Emma, Abigail, Sebastian, Patrick, and Oliver; and dear brother, David Nantz (Alison).

Family and friends may gather at Candle Light Funeral Home, 1835 Frederick Road, Catonsville, MD 21228 for a Visitation on Monday, May 25, 2026 at 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St.Agnes Catholic Church, 5422 Old Frederick Road, Baltimore, MD 21229 on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 10am. Interment will immediately follow at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, 7401 German Hill Road, Dundalk, MD 21222.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gwendolyn’s memory to Little Sisters of the Poor-St. Martin’s Home or Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity.
