Evelyn Steadman

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister went to heaven on June 2, 2025.

Evelyn Feilinger Steadman was born on January 14, 1930 to the late Elizabeth and Oscar Feilinger. She was married for 59 years to Thomas Steadman, Sr who preceded her in death. Evelyn was the devoted mother to Susan Whelan, Claire Broglie (Bill), and Tom Steadman, Jr (Michelle) and the late Craig Steadman. She was a loving grandmother to six grandchildren: Allison Broglie, Caren Hoffman (Travis), Erin Vincent (Heath), Jennifer Longwell (Jason), Tim Steadman (Olivia) and Kevin Steadman. She was blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Jenna, Lea, Aoife, Kennedy, Rylan, Tatum and Jack.

She is also survived by her devoted sister, Sister Bernice Feilinger SSND, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and son, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bill and Betty Feilinger.

The family will receive friends and extended family on Monday, June 9th from 10-11AM with a funeral Mass to follow at 11AM at Our Lady of the Angels (Charlestown), 711 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville. Burial will be private.

Evelyn’s family would like to thank the staff at Charlestown Caton Woods Assisted Living for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Evelyn’s name to the School Sisters of Notre Dame, 6401 North Charles Street, Baltimore 21212.
