Donald Alexander Finlay

Donald Alexander Finlay, affectionately known as Don, passed away peacefully in Millsboro, Delaware on September 15, 2026. Don and his family are especially grateful for the love, kindness, and care provided by Mary Beth Parker and Kinsley Parker, whose compassion and support brought comfort and dignity to Don during his later years. Their care and devotion will always be remembered with sincere gratitude.

Don was born on June 19, 1942, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late William S. Finlay and Alice R. Finlay (nee Eney). He was also predeceased by his brothers, William Finlay and George R. Finlay.

Don is survived by his beloved sister, Alice L. Baker, as well as his special nieces Donna Finlay, Denise Finlay, Victoria Keene, and Valerie Morrisey. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Throughout his life, Don was known for his caring nature and his love of animals. He had a special compassion for others, particularly the elderly. In his younger years, Don devoted himself to caring for his parents and remained by their side until their passing. His willingness to help others and his deep sense of family reflected the kind and giving person he was.

Don will be remembered by his family and friends for his gentle spirit, his love for animals, and the care he so willingly extended to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Don's memory may make a memorial contribution to the ASPCA in his name.

A graveside service honoring Don's life will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Druid Ridge Cemetery, 7900 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21208.
