Donald Arthur Blackman

October 6, 1945 — May 22, 2025

Donald "Don" Arthur Blackman, 79, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025. Born on October 6, 1945, in Kenosha, Don was a proud Wisconsin native who built a life full of hard work, adventure, and connection.

A lifelong craftsman, Don found joy in working with his hands, whether on the job or in his free time. Alongside his beloved brother Tom, Don co-founded and successfully ran a business that became a cornerstone of their community — a testament to their shared dedication and entrepreneurial spirit.

Don had a deep love for the outdoors. He was most at home near the water, with a fishing rod in hand or simply soaking in the peace that only nature can provide. His love for travel and meeting new people brought him countless memories and friendships across the years.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, the late Sharon Blackman, and by his parents, John and Lorraine Blackman. Don is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Ferguson, who was his loving companion and partner, and his steadfast caretaker in the later chapter of his life.

Don leaves behind two children, Jenny Ross and Dawn Lundvall. He will be deeply missed by his stepchildren, Kara Ferguson (Jeremy Carlson), Chad Ferguson, and Ryan Ferguson (Nicole Pilla), and his brother and lifelong friend, Tom Blackman (Eileen). Don’s legacy continues through his five grandchildren and one great-grandchild, as well as through the many other family members and friends who were touched by his warmth, humor, and generosity.

In honoring Don’s life, his family invites you to remember him by giving to a charity of your choosing — a gesture that reflects his generous heart and enduring commitment to others.
