Claude "Sonny" Coggins

Claude “Sonny” W. Coggins, 89, of Catonsville, MD, passed away on June 25, 2026. He was born on June 21, 1937 in Maryland to Claude W. Coggins, Sr. and Barbara M. Coggins (nee Saboury).

He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Coggins, his brother, Ray Coggins, and sister-in-law, Eileen Hartel. He is survived by his devoted wife, Marilyn Coggins (nee Newcomb); his loving daughter, Cathy Jackereas (Keith); his cherished grandchildren, Johanna and Mikayla Dubeck; and his dear sister-in-law, Carol Nordquist.

Family and friends may gather at Candle Light Funeral Home, 1835 Frederick Road, Catonsville, MD on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 for a Memorial Gathering from 4:00pm-5:00pm, with a Memorial Service to take place at 5:00pm.
