Cecelia Jeanette McGee Geppi, age 103, passed away on July 19, 2025 at her home in Catonsville. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 28, 1922; the daughter of Louis McGee and Anna Rosina McGee Buxbaum. Cecelia was raised by her mother and stepfather, Robert J. Buxbaum. Besides her parents, Cecelia was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Joseph Angelo Geppi.
She attended St. Jerome’s Catholic School and loved to reminisce about her experiences there.
Cecelia loved music and was quite a prolific dancer in her heyday. She had a wonderfully feisty, salty personality and loved to laugh. Her love of teddy bears was surpassed only by her coffee, which she drank copiously, and a good meal at The Double T Diner.
She worked her entire adult life at Library Mutual Insurance Company first as a secretary, retiring as an agent, an accomplishment she was very proud of. She and Joe also had a thriving antiques business that took them on the road for many unforgettable adventures.
She was a wonderful neighbor and enjoyed special moments such as tea parties with the young neighbor girl or just visiting across the street.
Cecelia was loved and will be missed by her Catonsville Neighborhood Family.
Friends are invited to attend a service for Cecelia at 10 am on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Candlelight Funeral Home, 1835 Frederick Road, Catonsville, Maryland 21228.
Followed by a graveside service at St. John’s Cemetery, 3480 St. John’s Lane, Ellicott City, Maryland 21042.
