Brian Deckard

Brian Alan Deckard entered this world on September 28, 1967 and left it early Sunday morning, September 7, 2025. He left behind a loving father, Lowell Alan Deckard; a loving mother, Sandra Scott Deckard; and a loving sister, Laura Deckard Sande.

Other surviving family included seven aunts and uncles: William Dan Deckard (Gloria), David Lloyd Deckard (LaVerne), James Paul Deckard (Jeanne), Susan Deckard Carleton (Robert), Edward Byron Deckard (Victoria), Celeste Deckard Singleton (Timothy), and Beverly Scott Burkhart. In addition, he has many surviving cousins.

After graduating from UMBC with a degree in computer science, he pursued a career with the Social Security Administration. He was a devout Christian. He loved to bowl and zealously followed the Ravens and the Orioles.

He was a good son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. We all grieve his departure.

“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.” (John 11:25-26)

Family and friends may gather for a visitation on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at the Candle Light Funeral Home, 1835 Frederick Rd. Catonsville, MD 21228. Burial will take place on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 11am at Serenity Ridge Natural Burial Cemetery, 2406 Ridge Rd. Windsor Mill, MD 21244.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Helping Up Mission.
