Anna Marie Coburn, born in Baltimore, Maryland, on May 29, 1930 died peacefully in her sleep on April 22, 2026. She is survived by her four children who loved her dearly: Anna Mary Coburn, Jane Frances Coburn, James Anthony Coburn, Patricia Rose Coburn, and her son-in-law, David Weiss. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Hannah Ahlgren (and spouse James Ahlgren), Amanda Kertz (and spouse Adam Kertz), Terrence Morrow, Jr, Aleksey Morrow, Irina Morrow, and Nicholas Morrow as well as three great-grandchildren: Benjamin Kertz, Ethan Kertz, and Jonas Morrow.

Anna was born in Baltimore to a large Italian Catholic family. She lived most of her life in Catonsville, where she was a devoted wife and mother, married to Merton Lyle Coburn, Jr, for over fifty years. She had a deep Christian faith and attended St. Agnes Church Catholic mass regularly.

She will always be remembered for having the gift of mercy and for being tender-hearted to those less fortunate. She was a lover of sports especially Notre Dame football and NBA basketball. Because of her gentle spirit, people were drawn to her and wanted to be her friend. Her volunteer activities included commitments to the gift shop for patients at Spring Grove State Hospital, Our Daily Bread, and Catholic Alumni Clubs International.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Joseph’s Nursing Home in memory of Anna M. Coburn in Catonsville, Maryland.

Family and friends may gather for a visitation on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 10:00am to 11:00am with a funeral service taking place at 11:00 am at the Candle Light Funeral Home, 1835 Frederick Rd, Catonsville, MD 21228. Private burial will take place at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Rd, Owings Mills, MD 21117.
