William Dukehart Obituary

On December 20, 2019 William Henry Dukehart went to be with the lord. One of seven born to Charles and Emma Virginia Dukehart of Catonsville, MD. After a long battle with diabetes and recent renal failure he was called to rest. He was the beloved husband to Diane Dukehart for 44 years. Beloved father to Jessica Rinn (Christopher), and Corey Dukehart. He was a devoted grandfather to Lillian and Charles Rinn. Beloved brother to Charles Dukehart, Katherine Benzing, Susan Haines, the late Robert Dukehart, the late David Dukehart, and Jayna Birt. And many nieces and nephews.


He grew up in Catonsville, Maryland attending Saint Marks School and Catonsville High. He attended the Culinary Institute of America and became a classically trained chef. Upon graduation he returned to Catonsville to run his parents restaurant, the Candlelight Inn. He met his wife Diane.They moved to the Florida Keys where he owned a pizza and sub shop with his father. When they returned to Maryland he worked in various restaurants around the Ellicott city area. He opened his own produce company and carryout restaurants. When his health began to deteriorate he became a chef with the sisters at the All Saints Convent. 

He was a devoted catholic and found so much love in working for the sisters. He found great joy in his grandchildren, Lilly and Charlie. He has his beloved pug Frank by his side at all times. He loved rock and roll music, drag racing, Fox News channel, and traveling with his family.
