Wendy Lynne Cameron (Mackinson)

On December 12, 2018 Wendy’s long journey with Frontal Temporal Dementia came to an end. A devoted wife, mother, family member and friend. Wendy was born on October 20, 1960 to parents Bob and Judy Mackinson. She had two sisters Lee Ann and Jo Ann and a brother Curt. Graduating from UMBC with a degree in psychology she continued her lifelong goal of caring for people. She worked in the Mental Health field at Harbor City and Sheppard Pratt. She then moved on to work for Blue Cross in dental benefits area.  Her focus of caring shifted when in 1990 she married her husband Rod. In a few short years her family grew with the birth of daughters Kellie and Kayla. Wendy was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and she participated in many of the activities at the church especially the choir. Fortunately this love and enjoyment of music stayed for the entire journey. Wendy was a devoted Aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was a fixture at plays, concerts, sports and graduations. Her interest in sports was shown in several ways. She played softball for several teams in the Catonsville area. She was a devoted fan of the Orioles and the Chicago Bears. She also made it possible for her husband to continue his involvement in athletics.

Wendy is survived by her husband Rod and daughters Kellie and Kayla, her mother Judy Mackinson, Sisters Lee Ann Hamper and John, Jo Ann Mackinson and her brother Curt Mackinson and Kelley. Many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Services will be held Saturday December 22, 2018 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Catonsville. The family will receive family and friends at 10 am and the service will follow at 11am.
