Shirley M. Moore, 80, of Hedgesville, West Virginia, recently Owings Mills, Maryland, passed away on March 11 in Towson, Maryland.
Shirley was born in High House, Pennsylvania to George and Stella Koskanic on April 1, 1938. She went to school at Georges Township. She married Robert Sacasky in 1958 and then Bill Moore in 1983 in Pasadena, Maryland. She worked as a purchasing agent and stenographer for NSA until 1987. She was involved in her church serving in some committee roles. She loved her Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. Always the fan, she wrote to Baltimore sports writers when they criticized her beloved teams.She was a huge fan and supporter of Hedgesville HS basketball. She bowled when she was younger, loved board games with her family and friends, traveled by air, rail and sea on numerous adventures. She last rode a roller coaster at age 75, and zip lined also late in life. Bingo was her preferred activity when there was no one else to play with.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, her son in law, Michael Conway and daughter in law, Sandy Moore .
Shirley is survived by her husband, Bill Moore: her daughters Susan (David) Witkowski, Marianne Conway, Dinah (David) Hanson and sons James Moore, and Patrick (Anita) Moore. Her grandchildren; James (Amanda) Witkowski, SrA Robert Witkowski, Christopher Conway, Randall Conway, Brian Witkowski, Leanne Conway, Jessica (Scott) Phillips, Lauren (Nick) Driver, Hunter Moore, Sydney Moore, Jennifer (David) Ham, Stephen (Stephanie) Moore, Samantha Moore and Jacob Moore. Her great grandchildren: Delilah, Autumn, Jackson, Abigail, Madeline, Molly, Amelia, Andrew, and Henry.

Memorial gathering will be March 16, 2019 at Candle Light funeral home 10-11am.
Funeral services will be held 11 am , March 16 at with Pastor Terri Cofiell previously of Hedgesville Untied Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be private.
