Our beloved mother, Salvatrice Schittino, 91, died on, Monday, November 27, 2017.  She came to the USA in 1958 with her husband, Francesco, children, Leonardo, Salvatore, and Josephine (Frank, was born later) from a small town, Lascari in Sicily, Italy. She was an accomplished seamstress and soon found a job in the textile industry.  She worked for many years for Lebow Brothers in downtown Baltimore.  In 1973, Salvatrice and Francesco decided to purchase an Italian Deli in Catonsville, called Scittino’s Italian Marketplace, where she worked until she retired about 20 years ago.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Francesco, her son, Leonardo and her grandson, Joey.

She is survived by her other children, Josie, Salvatore and Frank. Daughter-in-law, Terri Schittino, son-in law, Don Schroeter, her sister Assunta Schittino and brother, Salvatore Glorioso.  Grandchildren, Franco, (wife Eileen) Tony (wife, Jen) Lenny, Sal, Carmella Schittino, Michael Schroeter, Christina (husband Craig) Wyatt, Natalie (husband Kevin) McLewee, Anna (husband Greg) Will. She also had 11 Great-Grandchildren that she absolutely adored, Emily, Leo, Mary, Claire, Kate, Grant and Grace Schittino, Jackson McLewee, Max Wyatt, Christian and Sammy Will.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews around the country and Italy as well.

Her whole life was about being with her family and having all her babies around her.  She will be missed by many but never forgotten.
