Nicholas Arnold Jole'

Nicholas Arnold Jole’ passed away at his home in Catonsville, Maryland this past week from a brief illness. Born on April 23, 1951, he was the son of the late Jovan and Aino Jole’ also of Catonsville, Maryland.

Nick was a graduate of Milford Mill High School class of 1969 and graduate of Towson University. Nick was an avid tennis player and played well into his thirties. Nick’s favorite place was the beach and loved taking vacations with his family. He had a long and distinguished career working in the food industry as a quality control specialist. He retired with the hopes of spending more time with his family, which he was able to do. Since retiring, Nick refocused on his faith, joining the Baltimore Christian Faith Center where he was recently baptized.

Nick was married to Gail Riedel Jole’, of Catonsville, Maryland, for twenty-seven years. Along with Gail, he is survived by his two sisters, Melissa Sturm, of Catonsville, Maryland and Lorraine Mack, of Berlin, Maryland as well as his three daughters Nicole Holmes and her husband Jason, Karin Theo and her husband John, and Laura Romeo and her husband Mike. Nick was blessed with five grandchildren whom he adored. Nine-year-old Leah, seven-year-old Avery and four-year-old Grayson Theo, and seven-year-old Reilley and five-year-old Emilie Holmes. He is also survived by his second wife, Barbara Jole, and several nieces and nephews.

The Jole’ family will hold a memorial service on Monday, December 23 at the Candle Light Funeral Home, 1835 Frederick Road, Catonsville, Maryland. Memorial Gathering begins at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:30 a.m.
