Joan Elaine Cass

Joan Elaine Carl Wallace Cass was born on February 11, 1935 and died on June 13, 2018. She is predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Margaret Carl. She was the devoted wife to her best friend William Cass. She is survived by her four children, William Wallace and wife Terri, Steven Wallace and wife Lisa, Scott Wallace and wife Nilufer, Jeanine Wallace, her stepchildren; Peggy White, Susan Scheeler and husband David, Julie Hawkins and husband Reid, Kenneth Cass and wife Kathy, Thomas Cass, her grandchildren; Brandon Wallace and wife Amanda, Amanda Fischer and husband Jason, Jennifer DePaola and husband Billy, Samantha Espey and husband CJ, Nichole Haines and husband Jeremy, and Timothy Wallace and wife Caitlin, Joshua Cass, Kelsea Cass, Samantha Sealover and husband Nick, Olivia Hawkins, Eric Cass and wife Tonja, Jeffrey Cass and wife Megan, and her great grandchildren; Steven, Ella, Carolyn, Madison, Collin, Sydney, Winter, and Maxwell, all of who will deeply miss her.  

Joan was a strong, loving, and independent woman who showed her love through her acts of service to her family and friends.  She worked as a social worker in Howard County for many years. When she retired, she was able to take many trips to Williamsburg with Bill, watch the Orioles with him, play Bingo and spend time with all of the members of their family.  Joan was fiercely proud of her family and will be remembered for her joyful nature, her positive attitude, and her devotion to all those she loved.

Friends and family can visit at the Candle Light Funeral Home on Friday, June 15th, from 3 to 5pm, and from 7 to 9pm. A service in memory of Joan will be held on Saturday, June 16th, at the Candle Light Funeral Home at 11 am.
