Agnes Barbara (Upman) Mellor

Agnes Mellor (nee Upman), 86, of Sykesville, Maryland, died peacefully on June 26, 2019, at Carroll Hospital Center.

Born in Catonsville, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse Upman and Appolonia (Rauch) Upman. She retired from Chapel Hill Nursing Home where she worked as a cook for twenty-one years.

She enjoyed reading, gardening, shopping, family gatherings, and "game nights" with her family. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, for her ability to overcome any difficult times that life dealt her with dignity and strength, and for her strong religious beliefs.

She was dearly loved and is survived by her children, Buddy (Ginger) Mellor, Cindy (Kenny) Tracey, and Darlene (Tommy) Sartain, grandchildren, Tracie (Yavuz Goncu) Tracey, Shelly (Erich) Brundick, and Kenny (Crystal) Tracey, Jr., great-grandchildren, Jillian, Grayson, Jacob, Elan, and Kendall. She is also survived by siblings Rita Bosch and James (Karen) Upman, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and siblings Joseph, Marie, Edward, Elizabeth, and Elmer. She leaves behind her beloved Chihuahua, Rebel.

The viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 2, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Candle Light Funeral Home, 1835 Frederick Road, Catonsville, MD. The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, July 3, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark Church, 30 Melvin Avenue, Catonsville, MD with interment at Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville, MD.
