So many childhood memories of Rev. Metcalf who came to our church, St. Matthews in the 1960's. You were our inspiration and hope. Your family, Ms. Kathy, Billy, Leslie, Karen and Donna where like my own family. Many vacations to The Ocean in the old days. The memories.

My family lived next door to the Metcalf family when Les and I were in our early teens. There was not a finer family than the Metcalfs'. They took my brother, Earl under their wings and treated him like their own. Les obviously, was a product of this environment. What a blessed life he lived and extended to so many during his time here on earth. My condolences to his family. His memories will certainly live on among all of us.

Uncle Les will forever be remembered for his stories, his wonderful cooking, his singing, and his many sermons. These last few years have been difficult for him as he could no longer be out and about, but now he is at peace. Uncle Les will always be in our hearts and we will keep him with us as we remember him and tell his stories. Rest in peace , Uncle Les. You left us too soon.

Life is the greatest gift that God gives us. Death is only a bridge to eternal life with God. Certainly heaven is rejoicing for another soul has finally reached his true home.
Uncle Leslie touched so many lives and devoted his life to helping others. We can never thank him enough for for presiding over our wedding and making it more meaningful.
Our condolences Bill, Mary Ellen, Morgan,Gabby & Sophia

My sincere condolences to the family. What a great man. I attended church at St. Luke's under his ministry. I was confirmed by him. He assisted in my wedding ceremony. I went to school with his daughter so I spent a lot of time at the church and at his home. Fondest of memories for which I will always hold dear. Rest In Peace. You will be missed!!

We lost a great man, at 80 years old you lived a good life pop pop. The last few years were hard but you inspired so many people throughout your life. You were loved by so many and will be greatly missed. I'm glad I got to visit you and say goodbye, I'll always remember one of the last things you said to me, laying down in the hospital bed you looked up at me and told me I was pretty. You always used to tell me that. Ill always remember our family trips to ocean city together when we were younger and the songs you used to sing us. I'll keep an eye on grand mom for you. Rest In Peace, we love you. 💕
